The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC), also known as The Race to the Clouds, is an annual automobile and motorcycle hill climb to the summit of Pikes Peak in Colorado, USA. This prestigious race has been held since 1916, making it one of the oldest motorsport events in America. The course measures 12.42 miles (19.99 km) and features 156 turns, starting at 9,390 feet (2,862 meters) and climbing to the 14,115-foot (4,302-meter) summit.
The race challenges drivers and riders with its treacherous terrain and unpredictable weather conditions, which can change dramatically from the starting line to the summit.
